2016 Winners Announced

Sydney-based soprano Laura King was awarded the first prize (the Mietta Prize) at the final of the Mietta Song Competition on 17 July 2016 at the Australian National Academy of Music, South Melbourne. Dedicated to promoting the performance and wider appreciation of Art Song, the Mietta Song Competition is a biennial contest for classical singers and pianists.

Alex Raineri Curates a Fellowship Concert at ANAM

Pianist Alex Raineri, who formed part of the winning pair of the 2014 Mietta Song Competition, is curating a concert program as part of a fellowship at ANAM. His upcoming recital, to take place on Friday the 6th of May, will feature a collection of works for piano, string quartet and soprano.
